The Activities Director is primarily responsible for planning, organizing, and directing activities that include, but not necessarily limited to social, physical, spiritual and educational development as well as a variety of recreational activities. This role involves developing and managing a community activity program and budget to provide entertainment, connections, exercise, relaxation, and fulfill the basic psychological, social and spiritual needs for independent, active living residents. The director will also recruit, hire, train, and manage activities staff and volunteers, promote programs, ensure resident safety, gather feedback, oversee specialty programming, support sales and marketing, and create a monthly newsletter.
