Develops and implements inspiring success-oriented Life Enrichment programs designed to meet the overall needs of the residents based on the person-centered care approach. This role involves creating meaningful and purposeful activity programs, managing a monthly activities program calendar, and promoting a Family Partnership Program to encourage community involvement. The position also includes oversight of Life Enrichment coordinators and Care Managers, ensuring quality daily living experiences for residents. A key responsibility is completing Person-Centered Care forms to gather social information for program development. The Activities Director embraces the Parallel Program model, maintains data collection for resident engagement, and provides a forum for residents and family members to share ideas and concerns. The role requires maintaining adequate activity supplies within budget, encouraging inter-departmental participation, and ensuring resident and environmental safety, including adherence to the Safe Return program. Additional duties may include on-call responsibilities, Manager On Duty duties, attending DLE Conference Calls, and working safely and alertly. Associates are expected to take ownership of safety for themselves, associates, and residents, and disclose any impairing medications. Non-essential functions include leading by example, encouraging teamwork, attending community meetings, completing required courses, and understanding the Safe Return program for reporting missing persons.
