About The Position

Regina Health Center, a CMS rated 5-STAR mission and faith-based nursing facility in Richfield, Ohio, is currently seeking a full-time Activities Director. This position leads and directs the activities staff and coordinates and supports activities programs for skilled nursing and assisted living residents. The Activities Director leads the activities team to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate activities according to resident plan of care goals. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date documentation regarding levels of participation, interest and functions of residents including quarterly progress notes and MDS profile. The Activities Director collaborates with the Director of Nursing, Social Services and other department staff to meet residents’ needs for social, physical, mental, and spiritual experiences according to individual needs; monitors residents at events to encourage participation and life enrichment and ensures confidentiality regarding residents and maintains residents’ rights. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate compassionate care and the ability to interact with residents to encourage participation according to individual care needs.

Requirements

  • Accredited Activities Director Certification (ADC)
  • Meet NCCAP standards
  • Experience with older adults, with a clear understanding of therapeutic effects of various activities
  • Prior long-term care experience
