About The Position

Wilder’s Aging Services follows a person-centered approach, valuing the uniqueness of each individual through our philosophy, policies, and service delivery. Join a collaborative team that supports the health and independence of older adults as they age and receive care in the community, which is critical to Wilder’s mission of improving lives today and for generations to come. As a valued team member, you will plan and implement therapeutic activities on a rotating schedule at two Customized Living sites and provide personal care assistance to older adults who may have cognitive, mental, or physical disabilities. Create monthly activity program schedules, manage service relationships with vendors or other partners, and provide work direction for staff or volunteers supporting activities with clients in Wilder’s Customized Living programs. Oversee and supervise daily activities for clients. Adhere to a person-centered approach that respects and values the uniqueness of each individual receiving services. Coordinate with program nurses and social workers to identify client needs and make referrals for other services as appropriate.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or a GED is required.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in activity planning or providing therapeutic recreational services and support is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are also required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a C.N.A or CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist) is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with older adults in home or community-based settings.
