About The Position

The Salus Lifestyle Coordinator (Activities Assistant) is responsible for assisting the Salus Lifestyle Coach in providing a diversified program of individual and group activities. The goal is to enable each Resident to engage in cultural, spiritual, physical, political, social, and intellectual activities within the Community, thereby sustaining and promoting each Resident’s potential and sense of usefulness to themselves and others. This role is crucial in fostering an environment where inspiration lives and residents' overall wellbeing is prioritized.

Requirements

Experienced in activity planning, preferably with seniors.
Experienced and interested in working with seniors.
Possesses creative activity skills.
Demonstrates organizational skills.
Mature, pleasant, friendly, and cheerful personality.
State driver license required with clean driving record.
Must have completed all HR policies and procedures for Community driver.

Responsibilities

Assist the Salus Lifestyle Coach with providing a diversified program of individual and group activities.
Facilitate socialization among Residents.
Invite and/or remind Residents to participate in planned activities.
Work with other Program Associates to coordinate joint programs.
Conduct/lead majority of programs.
Train, support, and instruct volunteers to assist with activities as needed.
Plan, coordinate, and help implement decorations for special events, seasons, and holidays.
Coordinate family functions and events.
Plan weekly excursions.
Identify needed supplies for planned activities to the Salus Lifestyle Coach.
Assist with transportation for activity outings and regularly scheduled group trips.
Drive the company vehicle for Resident activities and appointments when needed, if certified and approved.
Carry out other duties as assigned by Salus Lifestyle Coach to ensure smooth operation of the program and to meet Resident needs.
Follow all emergency procedures.
Understand safety policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with Salus Lifestyle Coach and other Community staff.
Immediately advise Salus Lifestyle Coach and Resident Care Director of any changes in physical and mental health of any Resident.
Promote the Community in a positive manner and effectively communicate Community values to Residents, families, and Associates.
