About The Position

Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Coordinator to join their Life Enrichment department. This role involves assisting in the planning and implementation of an activities program designed to meet the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents in a retirement community. The ideal candidate will be creative, personable, reliable, fun, and a go-getter, with a genuine interest in working with older adults, including those with Alzheimer's and Dementia. This is a casual status position with variable hours and no set schedule, offering the opportunity to pick up shifts and cover gaps as needed. The position starts at $19.89 per hour, with potential for more based on experience.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Have a genuine interest in working in a geriatric environment with elderly residents including those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Have experience working with a social or recreational activities program.
Enjoy working as part of a team.
Have a commitment to confidentiality in respect to resident status and medical history.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning and implementation of an activities program that meets the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents.
Exercise creativity and the ability to encourage and motivate others.
Be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their families.
Arrange, organize, and assist with activities both on and off campus, such as holiday and birthday celebrations, social events, community outings, and exercise programs.
Maintain confidentiality with respect to resident status and medical history.
Maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members, and visitors.
