Expect the BEST...Achieve SUCCESS! The primary function of the Activity Coordinator/Event Manager is to represent the Boone Community School District at various events in a supervisory role.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Boone Community School District at various events in a supervisory role.
  • Supervise sporting activities, fine arts activities, and other assigned duties for middle school and high school events.
  • Assist with scheduling for events prior to the beginning of each season (fall, winter, spring, summer).
  • Provide supervision at larger events, including all home football and track meets.
  • Provide supervision at select away events such as rival games, tournament games, and state tournament games.
  • Supervise extra events hosted by the district, such as tournament games, show choir, and speech contests.
  • Arrive 45-60 minutes before event start time to ensure the event area is safe and ready.
  • Prepare money and programs for ticket sellers and secure gate money at the conclusion of an event.
  • Be hospitable to game officials and visiting teams, including managing locker room facilities if necessary.
  • Attend to the needs of officials (drinks, food, changing facilities, etc.) before, during, and after contests.
  • Address and manage crowd disruptions if they occur.
  • Periodically patrol hallways during indoor events.
  • Assist with crowd exiting after contests and provide clean-up assistance at some events.
  • Report any problems that occur at an event to the Activities Director and attempt to obtain names of fans removed from the event.
  • Do not coach/direct when scheduled to supervise unless there is more than one supervisor assigned to the event.
