About The Position

Waters Edge Lodge is looking for Activities Attendants. The Activities Attendant leads (and encourages participation in) activities for frail elderly that promote the seven dimensions of wellness (physical, spiritual, emotional, vocational, physical, intellectual, and social). Additionally, they act as a key contact for residents and their families, making sure everyone is introduced to the buildings amenities, acting as a point of reference for those who need assistance or information, and participates in dinner service. The current openings are part-time: Shifts available on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays from 9:30am - 6:00pm. Waters Edge Lodge is nestled in a unique and peaceful setting on the lagoon of Harbor Bay. Our 100 apartments provide a warm and familiar atmosphere where residents can maintain an independent and active lifestyle. We offer an extensive list of programs and activities, creating a stimulating social atmosphere where friendships develop and thrive. We are a pet friendly community, residents may have animals in their private apartments. THIS POSITION WILL BE EXPOSED TO PETS.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience leading group activities or teaching
Ability to follow written and oral directions
Candidate must be at least 21 years old
Able to assist with service of alcohol at Happy Hour
Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and Dept of Justice
Physical and TB clearance
Current COVID-19 vaccination
Routine COVID tests

Nice To Haves

Licensed driver at least 26 years old
Basic computer skills for attendance taking and resident participation tracking
