About The Position

Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Assistant to support the planning and implementation of engaging programs for our residents. This role works closely with the Activities Director to help create meaningful experiences that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Friendly, patient, and engaging personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to resident needs
• Basic organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in activities, recreation, or healthcare settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and facilitating daily activities and group programs
• Encourage resident participation and provide one-on-one engagement as needed
• Help set up and clean up activity areas and events
• Support special events, holiday celebrations, and outings
• Maintain activity supplies and organization of materials
• Document resident participation in accordance with facility guidelines
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed
