About The Position

Winding Trails Post Acute is seeking a Full-Time Activities Assistant to join their team. This role is crucial in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents by engaging them in meaningful activities and programs. The Activities Assistant will work collaboratively with the Activities Department to ensure residents receive exceptional care and have opportunities for social engagement and personal growth.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have an active/valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

One-year experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

Create and lead activities for patients.
Engage patients in meaningful programs.
Work as a team with the Activities Department.
Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
Assist in arranging transportation for residents when necessary, including resident outings, to/from appointments, or for discharge.
Assist in developing a monthly activity schedule for residents, which includes resident outings, regularly scheduled group activities, and in-room activities for bed-bound or isolated residents.
