About The Position
Vineyard Hills Health Center is seeking a creative, compassionate, and energetic Activities Assistant to join their skilled nursing facility team. The role involves delivering exceptional, engaging recreational programs for residents. Vineyard Hills Health Center is a 99-bed skilled nursing facility with a great staff. This is described as a fast-paced, high-energy, fun, and challenging job that requires an individual to be energetic, work under pressure, be a people person, multi-task, work independently with little supervision, be flexible, self-directed, and dependable. The ideal candidate will have a passion for planning fun activities, fostering social connections, and bringing smiles to residents' faces.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a passion for caring for the residents, families, and visitors.
- Creativity
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility, which include a yearly medical and physical examination.
- Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel and reach repeatedly throughout the day.
- CNA certification
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, maintaining, evaluating, directing and providing daily activities for the residents.
- Assist in-room residents by visiting with them, and perform assistance with crafts, projects, writing letters, as necessary etc.
