About The Position

Briarfield Health Care Centers is seeking an Activities Assistant to join their teams across Mahoning & Columbiana Counties. This role involves assisting with the planning and implementation of activities for the facility and its residents, aiming to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills. The position requires a genuine interest in geriatric work, a positive and upbeat personality, and the ability to work cooperatively with others. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be well-organized, efficient, and capable of coordinating multiple activities.

Visual and audio acuity necessary to detect changes in resident condition.
Patience, flexibility and tact in dealing with others.
Genuine concern for and ability to work with other adults.
Commitment to providing exceptional Customer Service.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Pass pre-employment physical, background check, and Mantoux (TB) Test.

Responsibilities

Assist with the planning and implementation of activities for the facility and its residents.
Work at the direction of the Activity Director and Executive Director.
Help design programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation and fulfillment and improve daily living skills.
Perform other duties or tasks that are not listed, but are within the competence and training of the individual.
