About The Position
East Bay Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Weekend Activities Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with seniors, creating meaningful experiences, and making a positive impact every weekend.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience working with seniors or in healthcare, recreation, or customer service is a plus.
- Friendly, dependable, patient, and compassionate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift activity supplies, and assist residents as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and leading engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic activities.
- Encourage resident participation in group and one-on-one activities.
- Set up and clean up activity areas and supplies.
- Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
- Document resident attendance and participation.
- Support holiday celebrations, special events, and weekend entertainment.
- Work closely with the Activities Director and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' individual interests and needs.
