About The Position

The Resident Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming. This includes one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations. The assistant also supports the Resident Activity Director as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in an activities department in a healthcare setting or equivalent
  • CNA license is preferred, but we will train

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with residents in a healthcare setting in an activity nature is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming.
  • Conducts one-to-one interventions.
  • Facilitates small group activities.
  • Leads large group presentations.
  • Assists the resident activity director as needed.
  • Communicates daily activities to residents.
  • Helps residents get to activities.
  • Performs daily documentation.
  • Assists with miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Activity Director.
