About The Position

Stillwater Health Care is looking for an Activities Assistant to join our amazing activities team. This is a full time 40 hours a week position, that could include weekends and evening hours to meet the needs of our residents. We are seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our life enrichment team. In this role, you won’t just be "planning events"—you’ll be creating moments of joy, maintaining the dignity of our residents, and ensuring that our facility feels like a vibrant community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move activity equipment (up to 25 lbs).
• Valid Maine Driver's License; with clean driving record
• Computer skills
• CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or memory care setting is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right personality!
• CNA certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Execute a daily schedule of activities including music, arts and crafts, exercise classes, games, and religious services.
• Provide meaningful bedside visits for residents who may be unable to attend group functions.
• Contribute new ideas for monthly calendars that cater to diverse cognitive and physical abilities (including memory care).
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress as required by state and federal regulations.
• Assist in the safe transport of residents to and from activity areas.
