The Assisted Living (AL) Activities Assistant strives to improve the quality of life for the patients/residents by providing appropriate, meaningful activities and interventions on a one-on-one and/or group basis. This role involves administering the monthly activity calendar, eliciting patient/resident input for activity planning, and ensuring activities are well-organized and upbeat. The assistant will participate in activities such as music, craft, and spiritual activities, and assist with simple nursing procedures and transporting patients/residents. Additionally, the role requires assisting with Minimum Data Set's (MDS's)/EPIC's documentation, demonstrating creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to follow instructions. Strong communication, leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work with challenging patient/resident behaviors and manage responsibilities autonomously.
