About The Position

Caring Place Healthcare Group is seeking an energetic, creative, and passionate Activities Assistant to help bring fun, purpose, and connection to the lives of residents at Sanctuary Pointe Nursing & Rehab Center each day. This role involves assisting in the planning and implementation of engaging daily activity programs, encouraging resident participation, and fostering meaningful connections.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be at least 18 years of age
Energetic, creative, and compassionate personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to remain calm and patient in emotionally demanding situations
Comfortable working with elderly individuals, including those who may be ill or cognitively impaired
Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents as needed
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Ability to read, write, and speak English

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in activities or a healthcare setting preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, developing, and implementing engaging daily activity programs
Encourage and support resident participation through regular visits and relationship-building
Lead and facilitate group and individual activities as scheduled
Assist in gathering resident interests and contributing to individualized activity care plans
Document resident participation and progress in activities
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate programs and special events
Participate in resident council meetings and provide support as needed
Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for residents
Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
Attend required trainings, in-services, and team meetings
