About The Position

Red Cliffs Post Acute is hiring a Part-Time Activities Assistant. This role involves creating and leading activities for patients, engaging them in meaningful programs, and collaborating with the Activities Department. The position requires comfort in driving a facility van and involves patient transfers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional care and contributing to a positive atmosphere, valuing integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

Minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED.
Minimum 21 years old.
Must have a valid DL.
Must be familiar with GPS and local driving area.
No Traffic Crimes in the last 7 years (DUI, DWS, Reckless Driving).
No Traffic Felonies (Multiple DUI, or DWS, Leaving Scene with Injuries, Assault with Vehicle).
Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years.
Not more than one accident in 3 years.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
Must have training and be able to return and demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for mobile patients with van.
Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.

Responsibilities

Create and lead activities for patients.
Engage patients in meaningful programs.
Work as a team with the Activities Department.
Drive the facility van.
Perform patient transfers, including ingress/egress of mobile patients and transfers into and out of wheelchairs.
Secure wheelchairs in vans.
Lift, transfer, and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds independently in confined areas inside the van.
Make complex decisions involving a highly dependent patient base.
