About The Position

Distinctive Living is seeking a Resident Experience Coordinator (Activities Assistant) for Mira Vie at Bridgewater. This role requires experience in a long-term care setting and the willingness to drive company vehicles for resident trips. The Resident Experience Coordinator is responsible for all resident activities within a managed community, including coordinating internal and external activities, creating monthly activity calendars, arranging outside entertainment, assessing resident preferences, and communicating with the management company.

Requirements

  • Experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Willingness to drive company vehicles for resident trips.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven management experience and ability to manage staff.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in assisted living preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred in Social Service, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess resident interest and activity needs at the time of move-in and on an ongoing basis by completing the Resident Interest Worksheet and meeting with all new residents within 7 days of move-in to determine their desired level of activity participation.
  • Orient all residents to the activity program and explain how to access activities.
  • Coordinate and carry out resident activities on a daily basis within budget limitations.
  • Develop a calendar of events before the beginning of the month to stimulate residents in intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social areas.
  • Promote all activities within the building to increase resident participation.
  • Follow the schedule as written with minimal changes and cancellations.
  • Arrange for entertainment within budgetary allotments for residents' enjoyment.
  • Comply with spending budgets for activity supplies and entertainment.
  • On a quarterly basis, hold an event that may be used for marketing efforts, involving the entertainment of residents.
  • Work with the Community Relations Director and other management staff to organize marketing events, including planning, advertising, set-up, and clean-up.
  • Provide and staff transportation for resident activities and other needs, including scheduled outings for sight-seeing, destination locations, and medical trips.
  • Coordinate any activity outings and medical visit transportation with the assisted living community.
  • Ensure they and any employees reporting to them work in a safe manner and that unsafe actions are managed.
  • Comply with Safety Committee Standards.
  • Assist the Executive Director with investigations, return-to-work processes, and management of injured worker communications with care providers and the management company, should workplace injuries occur.
  • Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions that assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
