Activities Assistant (Must have KS CNA cert)
About The Position
Villa St. Francis is a ministry of the Catholic Church of Kansas City, Kansas, and a top-rated nursing home in Olathe, Kansas, providing quality care to seniors in the Kansas City metro. The Activities Assistant will assist in the creation and logistics of daily, weekly, and monthly events to engage residents. This role involves gathering feedback from participants, managing necessary resources, and delivering fun, safe activities on time and within budget. The primary focus is to provide meaningful social, physical, and enjoyable activities while maintaining residents' highest level of functioning.
Requirements
- Must have current KS CNA certification
- One year minimum experience as a CNA in a long term care facility
- CNA License Required

Responsibilities
- Planning and facilitating daily, weekly and monthly events
- Implementing activities that accommodate those with special needs such as hearing or seeing impairment and or any other limitations they may have
- Observation of participation
- Documentation daily
- Monthly or Quarterly progress notes are required
- Providing participants with instructions for the event including staff or volunteers helpers
- Adhering and enforcing all safety procedures
