Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent education is preferred.
Preference given to persons who have completed courses in therapeutic recreation.
Minimum one year experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
If operating company vehicle you must be twenty-one (21) years of age and meet the MVR organization standards.
Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during evenings and weekends for planned activities events.

Responsibilities

Coordinate social, recreational, purposeful and spiritual activities to residents, whose needs include psychological, physical, and cognitive challenges.
Perform defined work routines and daily assignments, using various department supplies and equipment, as assigned by the Therapeutic Director.
Assist with social activities and recreational programs that provide spiritual, physical, social, and intellectual challenges for facility residents.
Initiate reporting and documentation procedures as assigned.
Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Activities Director.
