Recreational and event team members coordinate and provide activities for RV Resort guests in accordance with Company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be enthusiastic, upbeat, and energetic
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work a diverse schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evening hours.
  • Must work well under pressure and in high-stress situations
  • Must be able to stay focused on a task for extended periods; be alert
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High School Diploma or pursuit of a high school diploma, GED Equivalent
  • Must be able to swim independently

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid or CPR certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities such as arts, crafts, sports, games, camping, and hobbies.
  • Be creative and suggest new ideas and games for wacky water and other fun activities.
  • Ascertain and interpret group interests, evaluate equipment and facilities, and adapt activities to meet participant needs.
  • Greet new arrivals to activities, introduce them to other participants, explain facility rules, and encourage participation.
  • Follow the daily procedure for opening and closing the activities center, including the pool area, locking the right doors, and cleaning up.
  • Set up activities before the activity starts. Clean up activities immediately upon conclusion. Maintain crafts and games in neat, working order; keep the activity area orderly and clean.
  • Keep an inventory of guest participation, equipment, and guest interactions daily. Responsible for sign-out procedures of games and equipment. Keep stock, submit order requests, and inform the manager when supplies are low.
  • Conduct and actively participate in water games (in the pool), such as water volleyball and other pool activities.
  • Responsible for enforcing safety rules and procedures with guests. Ensure guests' safety during activities.
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures, including collecting monies, room/site charging, logging the money into the computer program, obtaining and distributing a receipt with the guest's signature, writing information on the daily room charge ledger, and handing the log to the Front Desk and dropping cash at the close of shift.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
