About The Position

Concordia at Bethlen is seeking an experienced and dedicated Part-Time Activities Aide to join their Personal Care team. This role involves assisting with the planning and implementation of activities designed to meet the social, physical, intellectual, recreational, and spiritual needs of residents. Concordia at Bethlen is a faith-based, non-profit continuing care retirement community with a long history of care, offering numerous healthcare career opportunities.

Requirements

Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Able to flex hours to accommodate resident's needs for evening, weekend, special events, and holiday events.

Nice To Haves

Long Term Care experience preferred.
Background in music, art, drama, and/or dance preferred.
Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists in planning, coordinating, communicating, and facilitating individual and group activities.
Ensures a weekly activity calendar is posted in a conspicuous and public place.
Encourages residents to attend and participate in activities, respecting their individual choices, age, and cognitive abilities.
Supports the retention of resident abilities through activity engagement.
Documents activity attendance, individual visits, and level of participation for compliance with care plans, policies, and state regulations.
Promotes positive family relationships and communications by providing periodic updates on resident participation.
Assists with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living as needed.
Provides care for the facility pet, including cleaning and feeding.
Decorates the facility for seasonal holidays and events.
