About The Position

The Activities Aide plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by organizing and facilitating engaging recreational and social activities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse populations.
  • Physical ability to assist with activities, including standing for extended periods and light lifting.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a caregiving, recreational, or supportive role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with elderly, disabled, or special needs populations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lead a variety of recreational and social activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, and exercise sessions.
  • Assist participants in engaging with activities, providing encouragement and support to ensure inclusion and participation.
  • Set up and clean activity areas, ensuring all materials and equipment are safe and well-maintained.
  • Monitor participants during activities to ensure safety and respond promptly to any needs or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and participant progress or feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate schedules and share observations about participant engagement.
