About The Position

We are currently pursuing a creative and enthusiastic part-time Activities Aide to join our Pole Creek Estates Long-Term Care team. At Pole Creek Estates, our residents are family. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Complete Nebraska State required training per “Single Task Feeding” within one year of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be BLS (Basic Life Support) certified.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience (1-3 months) in an Extended Care facility preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Transport residents to medical appointments.
  • Answer telephone take messages and/or redirect to correct extension, greet, and direct residents, salespeople, and visitors
  • Assist feeding residents who require help, after completing ‘Single Task Feeding’ training and acquiring the ‘Single Task Feeding’ State Certificate
  • Provide Hostess service in the dining room during activities and meals.
  • Report any suspected or known illegal activity.
  • Lead and promotes recreation activities, including but not limited to music, dance, arts and crafts, spiritual arts, cultural arts, nature study, swimming, social recreation, and games for Long Term Care Residents
  • Helps to decorate the facility for holidays
  • Duties as assigned by management.
