About The Position

Empower AI is seeking an Active Directory Administrator for an exciting opportunity at the Department of State. This role provides Role Based Access Control (RBAC) services to manage assets and operations supporting the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide. The administrator will monitor the customer’s AD domain for authentication and authorization services for organizational units in the NCR and domestic facilities, and coordinate AD requests and issues between customer organizations. Responsibilities include maintaining enterprise account management using RBAC for secure access, managing centralized Access Control Lists (ACLs), group policies, domains, organizational units (OUs), and security groups for domain controllers supporting over 50,000 users across on-premise and cloud systems. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining Active Directory (AD) administration Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with the ITIL framework and DoS standards, and updating SOPs to reflect modernization initiatives and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Monitor the customer’s AD domain to provide authentication and authorization services for the organizational units in the NCR and domestic facilities.
• Support coordinating AD requests and issues between customer organizations.
• Maintain enterprise account management utilizing RBAC to ensure secure and managed access to all customer systems and equipment.
• Manage the centralized Access Control List (ACL), group policies, domains, and organizational units (OU), and security groups for domain controllers for over 50K users in both on-premise and cloud systems.
• Develop and maintain Active Directory (AD) administration SOPs for the customer IT service delivery processes aligned Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and DoS standards.
• Update SOPs to reflect modernization initiatives and emerging technologies.
