About The Position

The Midlothian Family YMCA is currently seeking a part-time positive role model to build relationships and facilitate Aging Well programs and activities. The Active Adult Facilitator will work with the director and their regional coordinator to deliver and track activities. The pay range for this position would be $15-$16 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong communication skills
Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Sufficient strength to lift and carry 25lbs
Ability to set equipment and the room as needed for related programs
At least two years relevant work experience (preferably with older adults and youth and family)
Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications

Responsibilities

Setup of rooms
Maintenance of program paperwork
Purchase of supplies
Advertise events and programs
Maintain program bulletin board
Contribute to association newsletters
Attend leadership team meetings or advisory council meetings as needed
Assist in the development of associated budget
Manage department expenditures within allotted budget
Deal positively and professionally with program participants and staff
Promote, foster and support the Y's commitment to access, inclusion and engagement for all by engaging diverse populations in a welcoming environment
