About The Position

This role involves a Business Analyst with significant experience in financial services, specifically in AML Transaction Monitoring and Financial Crimes Compliance. The primary focus will be on migrating from a legacy transaction monitoring platform to NICE Actimize SAM. The analyst will be responsible for leading requirements gathering, analyzing existing systems, translating business needs into technical specifications, and supporting the entire migration and implementation process. This includes data analysis, testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of Business Analysis experience with Financial Services organizations.
  • Strong experience in AML Transaction Monitoring and Financial Crimes Compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with NICE Actimize SAM implementation, migration, enhancement, or support projects.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex queries, joins, reconciliation, and data validation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience analyzing large-scale financial transaction datasets.
  • Strong understanding of AML Transaction Monitoring, Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR), KYC/CDD/EDD, and Sanctions Screening.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance Requirements.
  • Experience with data mapping, source system analysis, and data lineage.
  • Ability to work effectively with Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Vendor teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Global Financial Crimes, AML Compliance, or Financial Crime Risk Management within investment banking or capital markets.
  • Experience working on transaction monitoring transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure to Actimize AIS, ActOne, RCM, or IFM modules.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data warehouses.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with model tuning, scenario calibration, and alert optimization.
  • Experience supporting regulatory examinations or audit responses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for the migration from the legacy transaction monitoring platform to NICE Actimize SAM.
  • Work closely with AML investigators, compliance teams, model validation teams, and technology stakeholders to understand existing monitoring scenarios and future-state requirements.
  • Analyze transaction monitoring rules, thresholds, alert generation logic, suppression mechanisms, and case management workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for Actimize implementation teams.
  • Perform data mapping, source-to-target analysis, and reconciliation between legacy systems and Actimize SAM.
  • Develop and execute SQL-based data analysis for transaction monitoring scenario validation and testing.
  • Utilize Python for data profiling, transformation analysis, reconciliation, and validation of large transaction datasets.
  • Support UAT, SIT, parallel run testing, and production readiness activities.
  • Identify data quality issues, gaps, and process improvements during migration.
  • Partner with Compliance and Model Risk Management teams to ensure regulatory alignment and model governance adherence.
  • Support alert tuning, optimization, and effectiveness assessments to reduce false positives.
  • Produce BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, data mapping documents, and test cases.
  • Collaborate in Agile delivery environments and participate in sprint ceremonies.
