About The Position

At Resources for Human Development (RHD) Metro ACT Team, we believe individuals living with serious mental illness deserve access to compassionate, community-based support that promotes recovery, independence, and hope. We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven ACT Team Lead to provide clinical and operational leadership for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This leadership role combines direct clinical support, team supervision, regulatory oversight, and program management. The ACT Team Lead plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality services are delivered while supporting staff development, maintaining compliance standards, and promoting positive outcomes for the individuals we serve. A commitment to RHD values is essential. The Metro ACT Team provides intensive, community-based mental health services designed to support adults living with serious and persistent mental illness. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the team delivers individualized treatment, rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and recovery-focused services directly in the community. Our goal is to help individuals reduce hospitalizations, increase independence, strengthen community connections, and achieve meaningful recovery. Team members work collaboratively to meet people where they are and provide the support necessary to help them thrive.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Education, or a related human services field.
  • Alternatively, a graduate degree in a human services field plus at least three years of direct care experience working with adults in mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, substance abuse, juvenile justice, healthcare, vocational rehabilitation, or a similar setting, including two years of community-based treatment experience.
  • Current clinical licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LISW, RN, or MD.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong leadership, communication, clinical assessment, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in community-based behavioral health settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior ACT, community mental health, crisis intervention, or intensive outpatient experience.
  • Previous supervisory or program leadership experience.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary treatment teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership for the ACT team.
  • Develop initial assessments and treatment plans for individuals admitted to the program.
  • Evaluate consumers on an ongoing basis and coordinate treatment activities based on changing needs.
  • Maintain a caseload and serve as the primary clinician for assigned individuals.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate team members.
  • Assist with personnel decisions, including hiring, performance management, and corrective action processes.
  • Ensure staff are informed of program policies, procedures, and service expectations.
  • Supervise and support staff in service coordination, community resource linkage, rehabilitation skill-building, peer support, and problem resolution.
  • Ensure 24/7 crisis intervention coverage is available for program participants.
  • Oversee medical record maintenance and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain efficient staff scheduling systems.
  • Partner with financial leadership to support fiscal viability, cost control, and revenue development.
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
