About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and driven ACT Team Lead / Licensed Mental Health Therapist to lead their Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT). This leadership role involves guiding a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering person-centered behavioral health services directly in the community. The goal is to support individuals in their recovery, independence, and stability. The role offers the opportunity to influence change and shape futures for both the individuals served and the clinical professionals supported. Services are delivered in various community settings, including homes, shelters, hospitals, and other community locations throughout the region.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field from an accredited college or university
  • Provisional or full licensure in North Carolina (e.g., LCSW/A, LCMHC/A, LMFT/A, LPC or equivalent required; full licensure preferred)
  • Minimum of one year of post-graduate MH/DD/SA experience with the population served
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical leadership skills
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative oversight of the ACT Team
  • Supervise, mentor, and support multidisciplinary staff
  • Deliver direct therapeutic interventions and community-based services
  • Participate in referral screenings, assessments, and person-centered treatment planning
  • Support quality assurance, utilization review, and documentation compliance
  • Review and approve service documentation, billing, and timesheets
  • Coordinate peer review and ensure timely incident reporting
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and staff evaluations
  • Maintain fidelity to ACT standards and person-centered care practices
