About The Position

The ACT/SAT Prep Expert provides high-level, results-driven instruction to middle and high school students, utilizing proven strategies to improve standardized test performance while fostering confidence, critical thinking, and academic skills. This role is designed for an experienced educator who can deliver structured, engaging, and personalized instruction tailored to individual student needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching or tutoring ACT, SAT, or comparable standardized tests
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or related field
• Proven track record of improving student test scores
• Strong knowledge of standardized test formats, strategies, and scoring
• Experience working with high school–aged students
• Excellent communication, instructional, and motivational skills
• Instructional leadership and mentorship
• Student engagement and motivation
• Data-driven instructional planning
• Clear communication and adaptability
• Professionalism and reliability

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured instruction in ACT/SAT content areas, including English, Math, Reading, and Science (as applicable)
• Develop and implement lesson plans and practice exercises targeting test-taking strategies, time management, and skill reinforcement
• Assess student strengths and areas for improvement, providing personalized feedback and study plans
• Track student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
• Create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and program staff as appropriate
• Monitor attendance, participation, and performance for program documentation
• Collaborate with program staff to align instruction with broader academic support initiatives
