About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is hiring professional, dependable ACT 235-certified Armed Security Officers for a school district assignment in Perry County. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment while building positive relationships with students, staff, and families. This is more than a traditional security assignment. It is an opportunity to become a trusted member of a school community while working for an established Pennsylvania security company that values professionalism, integrity, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Current Pennsylvania ACT 235 certification and valid concealed carry permit
  • Level II or Level III retention holster
  • Must obtain KRE’s in-house Phazzer certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the client site
  • Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work in various environments
  • Flexible availability for occasional after-school events
  • Must attend an in-person orientation before being scheduled
  • Candidates must pass all required background screenings and be willing to obtain or provide the following before beginning the assignment: Pennsylvania State Police PATCH, Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting for School Employees, Act 24, Act 168, Act 67, Mantoux tuberculosis test

Nice To Haves

  • Previous security, military, law enforcement, or school-security experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible, professional armed security presence
  • Patrol school property and monitor entrances, access points, and surrounding areas
  • Identify and report safety or security concerns
  • Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies
  • Enforce district policies, post orders, and site procedures
  • Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports using Belfry Software
  • Communicate effectively with school personnel, supervisors, and fellow officers
  • Build respectful, professional relationships with students, staff, and families
