Manage, plan, direct, and coordinate the Albuquerque Community Safety (ACS) Training Academy and the department's comprehensive training and workforce development programs, including, but is not limited to the ACS Responder Academy, Field Training Responder (FTR) Program, On-the-Job Training (OJT), and continuing education. Develop and oversee curriculum, academy operations, instructional delivery, field training, competency evaluations, and quality assurance to ensure responders are prepared for safe, effective, and independent service. Collaborate with department leadership and community partners to align training with ACS strategic priorities, operational needs, evidence-based practices, and evolving community safety response models while fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional excellence. ACS is seeking a functional leader responsible for the development, certification, and ongoing training of ACS personnel. This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.
