About The Position

Kendall Hunt Publishing is seeking a driven Acquisitions Sales Representative to join their team. This remote position involves interviewing professors at colleges and universities to identify business opportunities and persuade potential authors to partner with the company. The goal is to develop interactive and engaging educational materials for lower-level, higher-enrollment courses. The role requires approximately 7 weeks of overnight travel per semester and is ideal for candidates who excel at relationship building and goal achievement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel approximately 7 weeks of overnight travel per semester
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong desire to learn and ask questions
  • Drive to win and excel, consistently seeking improvement
  • Persistence in overcoming challenges, with the ability to adapt and be flexible

  • Ability to spend a lot of time on college campuses in the territory

Responsibilities

  • Interview professors at colleges and universities to identify business opportunities.
  • Persuade author candidates to partner with Kendall Hunt Publishing.
  • Develop interactive and engaging educational materials.
  • Travel to different colleges and universities in the assigned territory.
  • Identify challenges and develop practical solutions in real-time.
  • Manage responsibilities that require substantial independent work while also engaging in team collaboration.
