About The Position

Chevo is hiring an experienced Acquisitions Program Manager to join our expanding firm in the Washington, DC area. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business better than they know it and to become a trusted advisor. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to managing a Federal Acquisitions (Procurement) support contract.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Education, Management Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources Development/ Management, or other related discipline or equivalent experience in a technical or business discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting Federal Acquisitions (Procurements)

Nice To Haves

  • FAC-C or similar Federal Acquisitions Certification
  • Previous experience supporting DHS (Headquarters or Component Agencies)

Responsibilities

  • Managing clients
  • Building a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives
  • Managing day-to-day client interaction
  • Setting and managing client expectations
  • Communicating effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Continually seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Achieving operational objectives and contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Implementing productivity and quality standards.
  • Providing technical direction and guidance to contractor staff to ensure Contract requirements and expectations are clear, success criteria are defined, progress toward results are monitored, and that all activities are performed in compliance with the terms of the Contract
  • Identifying risks and appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Meeting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Managing a multi-tiered project and/or multiple projects simultaneously
