About The Position

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security. KBR is looking for a dynamic highly motivated Acquisition Sr. Security Specialist to join our team. This position requires a seasoned professional with a broad range of experience across the full spectrum of security disciplines – personnel, information, industrial, physical, anti-terrorism, force protection, operational, and communications. This position is on Tinker AFB, OK and will require interfacing with government and contractor personnel. This position is 100% in office. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-driven individual, that will identify and implement process improvement initiatives and spearheading transformation by using modern design for automation and digital transformation leveraging analytics and Power BI. Their security experience should also be integrated with a strong background in program management and analytics. This position will provide strategic oversight for the comprehensive protection of classified facilities and systems, authoring and managing critical documents to include Program Protection Plans and the Security Classification Guide. This effort supports the Missile Sustainment Division for the Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) System Program Office (SPO) Service Life Extension Program in managing security program activities. This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance eligibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in DoD security or acquisition security roles
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple security disciplines, including personnel, information, industrial, physical, anti‑terrorism, force protection, operational, and communications security
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with DISS and personnel security processes
  • Strong working knowledge of DoD and federal security policies and regulations
  • Proven ability to advise senior leadership and operate independently
  • Active secret clearance required, TS/SCI eligible

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting weapon system or missile programs
  • Knowledge of DoDI 5000 series and DAFI 63‑101 / 20‑101
  • Familiarity with Tinker AFB, AFLCMC, or sustainment organizations
  • Experience applying analytics to security operations or compliance tracking

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, coordination, and lifecycle management of Program Protection Plans (PPP) and Security Classification Guides (SCG)
  • Advise SPO leadership on threat‑informed security risk, Critical Program Information (CPI), and mitigation strategies
  • Integrate security throughout the acquisition lifecycle in alignment with DoDI 5000‑series and DAFI 63‑101/20‑101.
  • Manage end‑to‑end personnel security processes, including clearance eligibility, access determinations, investigations, reinvestigations, indoctrinations, and debriefings
  • Review and validate SF‑86 submissions via NBIS/eApp
  • Advise leadership on personnel security risks and mitigation strategies
  • Maintain personnel security records and access status in DISS
  • Safeguard classified and sensitive information in accordance with applicable classification guidance
  • Enforce proper handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified materials
  • Support communications security measures, including secure communications practices and incident reporting
  • Ensure compliance with industrial security requirements for contractors, visitors, and external partners
  • Coordinate visit requests, access authorizations, and oversight of contractor security compliance
  • Support security reviews, inspections, and audits
  • Implement physical security controls for facilities, controlled areas, and sensitive assets
  • Assess vulnerabilities and recommend protective measures to reduce risk
  • Coordinate access control procedures, badge issuance, and controlled entry requirements
  • Support anti‑terrorism and force protection programs designed to deter, detect, and respond to threats
  • Assist with threat assessments, vulnerability analyses, and protective planning
  • Participate in exercises, inspections, and training related to force protection readiness
  • Identify critical information and assess operational vulnerabilities
  • Implement OPSEC measures to prevent adversary exploitation of sensitive activities
  • Conduct briefings and training to promote OPSEC awareness across the organization
  • Identify opportunities to modernize and streamline security processes
  • Develop data‑driven insights, metrics, and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to enhance leadership decision‑making and inspection readiness
