About The Position
McGuire Woods is seeking an Associate to support its Corporate and Private Equity practice in San Francisco. The Corporate and Private Equity Department consists of more than 90 attorneys whose practices focus on all types of private equity transactions including leveraged buy-outs, independent sponsor transactions, rollups, minority and junior capital investments, "going private" transactions and purchases of troubled companies in or out of bankruptcy. We have a team devoted to representing emerging managers and other general partners as well as significant limited partners in forming private equity, growth equity, venture capital, mezzanine, and real estate funds. Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in acquisition financing transactions for private equity funds
- Demonstrated ability to lead transactions
- Experienced in working on borrower-side matters
- Strong academic record
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently with clients and colleagues
- Must be barred in California
