About The Position

Dexis is seeking an experienced Acquisition Analyst to support anticipated work with the Department of War, Office of the Undersecretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSW(A&S)). The Acquisition Analyst will lead the development of transformational acquisition proposals in support of Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) Acquisition Acceleration Reviews (AARs). Additionally, they will apply deep knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System and Adaptive Acquisition Framework to research, interpret, and synthesize Department of War (DoW) 5000-series policies into actionable, enterprise-level recommendations. The role will organize and integrate inputs from subject matter experts across government, federally-funded research and development centers (FFRDCs), university-affiliated research centers (UARCs), and industry to generate a "menu of ideas" for senior leadership, ensuring proposals are concrete, implementation-focused, and aligned with FY26 and out-year funding opportunities. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in an acquisition program office, Program Executive Office, or DoW acquisition office
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and applying Defense Acquisition System and Adaptive Acquisition Framework DoW 5000 series policies, principles, techniques, methods, and practices
  • Strong analytical, research, and strategic communication skills, and adept at preparing and delivering briefs and correspondence to executive leadership in various formats
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Able to work both independently and in teams to meet mission objectives
  • Able to track and coordinate multiple simultaneous efforts
  • Able to work fully onsite (Pentagon) based on client needs

Responsibilities

  • Curating topics for analysis
  • Structuring and conducting qualitative and quantitative research
  • Drafting and coordinating high-impact reports, decision briefs, and memorandums
  • Translating complex acquisition issues into clear options and roadmaps for senior executive decision-making
  • Coordinating across multiple stakeholders in the Pentagon, Services, Program Executive Offices (PEOs), and other oversight offices to maintain momentum on acquisition transformation initiatives
  • Tracking multiple concurrent efforts
  • Ensuring timely delivery of products that reflect leadership's priorities rather than diluted consensus positions
