Coordinates and delivers direct spiritual care to the hospital's patients/families/staff, especially at Milford Campus. Communicates effectively with hospital (both campuses) staff and community clergy (especially Milford) about ongoing spiritual care needs. Documents all interventions and maintains appropriate patient records. Is actively engaged in the ACPE Certification process - evaluated yearly, goal of achieving certification as a Certified Educator in 3 years. Co-supervises CPE students after reaching Phase 1B of ACPE certification. Supervises CPE students under local and national faculty supervision when reaching Phase 2. Participates in all required education, clinical and written requirements for ACPE Certification: individual and peer group supervision, writing and presenting papers, demonstration competencies, regular communication with national certification.
