Acoustic Simulation Engineer

InDepth Engineering Solutions, LLC•Toledo, OH

About The Position

This role involves developing system-level and component-level acoustic simulation models. The engineer will perform meshing, boundary condition setup, and simulation execution. Key responsibilities include conducting Sound Pressure Level (SPL) predictions for various components, performing frequency response, modal analysis, and near-field/far-field acoustic evaluations. The position also requires conducting Transfer Path Analysis (TPA), sensitivity studies, and root cause analysis. A crucial part of the role is correlating CAE simulation results with physical test data and recommending design improvements. The engineer will utilize pre-processing and solver tools for acoustic simulations and analysis, perform post-processing, document methodologies, and prepare technical reports. Developing automation scripts using Python or MATLAB and collaborating with testing, engineering, and cross-functional teams to enhance acoustic performance are also key aspects of this position.
