About The Position

DLR Group's Acoustic Design team has an opening for an Acoustic Design Summer Intern. This role could be based in Cleveland, Lincoln, or Omaha. Interns will have opportunities to develop and share their design voice through hands-on project work, mentorship, and learning experiences. They will gain exposure to the people, disciplines, and ideas that shape the built environment, potentially participating in design discussions, project meetings, site visits, business development efforts, and office activities. The program combines mentorship, project work, and weekly learning sessions on topics such as design culture, sustainability, design technology, communication, marketing, project management, research, equity, and career development. As an Acoustic Design Intern, you will be an important part of the integrated design team, contributing to the acoustic design of buildings. You will work alongside professionals across architecture, engineering, and interiors, gaining hands-on experience with the design process from early concepts through documentation and construction administration. The Summer Internship Program is a paid, full-time opportunity running May 18 through August 6, 2027, and interns are expected to participate for the duration of the program. This is an opportunity to apply classroom learning, build technical and professional skills, and contribute to design solutions.
