About The Position

The Pathfinder Program is a supportive initiative designed to help students achieve their academic and personal goals. This program offers comprehensive support through various wraparound services and dedicated mentorship. The Achievement Mentor plays a crucial role in the Pathfinder Program.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

  • One-on-One meetings: Personalized sessions with mentors or advisors
  • Classroom follow-ups: Regular check-ins related to classroom performance and attendance
  • Study hall: Dedicated time and space for focused studying
  • Direct intervention: Targeted support for specific challenges or needs

Responsibilities

  • Monitor study hall participation: Keep track of scholars' attendance and engagement in study hall sessions.
  • Weekly follow-ups with scholars: Conduct regular check-ins to determine how classes are going, class attendance and any missed classes, upcoming quizzes or tests, need for additional support, and any good news or positive developments.
  • Update notes in the spreadsheet: Record the days you connected with students and include any useful information gathered during interactions.
  • Follow up with Jason or Anja: Forward concerns about scholars and report scholars who are not responding to communication attempts.
