This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the outpatient pediatric therapy department. The supervisor works collaboratively with other supervisors to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include conducting performance improvement studies, managing patient caseloads, organizing staff schedules, and providing direct patient care according to professional standards. The role involves developing and maintaining departmental policies and procedures, overseeing documentation, and identifying opportunities for information systems and process improvements. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for staff orientation, training, and competency assessment, as well as collaborating with leadership and other teams to develop new programs and services. Compliance with local, state, and federal standards, including DNV and CARF, is essential. The position also contributes to the budgeting process, manages building equipment, and performs human resources functions such as performance coaching, reviews, and recommendations for hiring and terminations. Adherence to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and ensuring compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and laws are critical. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate patient care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and assessing patient needs based on age-specific requirements.
