About The Position
The Aces Group Leader position is a part-time, classified role within the Afterschool Care (ACES) program at Irving Park Elementary. This position is part of a 10-month continuing term and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The program is licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and requires specific background checks and fingerprinting for selected candidates.
Requirements
- Must complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC) via the NCDHHS website.
- Must obtain an NCID.
- Must complete the CBC application process, providing addresses for the past 5 years.
- Must pay a $26.50 fee for the CBC application (Visa or MasterCard only).
- Must complete LIVESCAN fingerprinting within 7 days of CBC application completion ($10 cash required).
- Must obtain a letter stating qualification under the NC Child Care Act.
- Must upload the qualification letter to the GCS application.
- Must possess a valid ID for fingerprinting.
- Must be able to provide addresses for the past 5 years.
- If lived out-of-state in the past 5 years, must follow DHHS instructions for out-of-state background checks, which may involve additional costs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children in an afterschool care setting.
- Ensure compliance with DHHS licensing requirements.
- Complete a Criminal Background Check (CBC) including fingerprinting.
- Upload CBC results to the GCS application.
