About The Position

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an ACE Support Intern. As an ACE Support Intern, you will assist various engineers within the Nuclear Power Group and build or expand your background in one or more of the following areas: Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs. Work on a variety of tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data. Be involved in power designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major power equipment and related installation services. Gain experience using various CAD applications.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in high school with an anticipated graduation date of June 2027 or sooner
  • Currently participating in the Chicago ACE program
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and commute to and from our Chicago, IL office over a 6–8-week period
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Planning to attend a college or university in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline (i.e., Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental) in Fall 2026 or 2027
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within school and/or the community
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
