About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of production-built sections and grand blocks within the shipbuilding field. The Accuracy Control Engineer will interpret engineering drawings, maintain quality standards, and record measurements. They will also be responsible for equipment readiness, providing feedback on progress and quality, and cooperating with preparation teams for new projects. The position requires working both independently and as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on safety and learning information flow and reporting procedures. Training less experienced team members is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

Experience in Measurement field or Quality Control, or 5 Years’ experience in the Shipbuilding Field
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or technical diploma
Familiar with AVEVA system
Have good print reading skills
Knowledge of Total station, level and digital instruments
Good shipbuilding background with good mathematical skills
Skilled in the utilization of advanced measuring equipment / tools MS60/Net1A/AT403, Spatial Analyzer, Lap Top, etc. (transits, optical levels, etc.)
Knowledge of steel structures and measurement

Responsibilities

Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
Responsible, in cooperation with other team members or independently, for alignments and final status of production-built sections and grand blocks
Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
Maintain quality standards and meet scheduled completion times
Record and submit measurements timely and correctly
Daily feedback of task progress and quality results
Responsible for readiness of all equipment required by the measurement team (calibration, records, etc.)
Cooperation with preparation teams of new projects upon request
Work with team members and independently to complete task
Safety in all actions and tasking preventing injury to self and others
Learn and process the information flow according to defined rules
Learn and make reports of final product
Create and evaluate SA program and create reports of completed products
Train less experienced Team members in all the above areas
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
