About The Position

Atlantic Health Strategies partners with mission-driven behavioral health organizations to provide expert compliance, licensing, accreditation, operational, and administrative support. We work with providers across the continuum of care, including detox, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient, and mental health treatment programs. Our team helps organizations navigate complex regulatory requirements, strengthen clinical and operational systems, and build sustainable programs rooted in quality care, integrity, and long-term success. We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accreditation Specialist to support our behavioral health clients through every stage of the accreditation lifecycle. This role is primarily hybrid, based in West Palm Beach, FL, with one day per week onsite preferred. Fully remote candidates will be considered for the right fit. You will play a key role in preparing organizations for accreditation surveys, maintaining continuous compliance, and serving as a subject matter expert on regulatory standards. This position includes limited travel to client sites during active survey periods.

Requirements

  • Direct experience with The Joint Commission in behavioral health settings
  • Experience supporting at least three full accreditation surveys end-to-end
  • Strong working knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance frameworks, including both Joint Commission and CARF standards.
  • Excellent policy writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with multiple accrediting bodies
  • CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance) or similar certification
  • Experience training staff or leading compliance initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Review, update, and maintain client policies, procedures, and plan documents using internal systems
  • Manage ongoing compliance for Environment of Care and Emergency Management programs
  • Train clients on inspection processes and sustaining continuous compliance practices
  • Serve as Human Rights Officer, supporting patient rights and investigating incidents
  • Act as the primary liaison with The Joint Commission and CARF on behalf of our clients, including completing applications for accreditation renewals
  • Support clients during active survey periods, including onsite readiness and coordination
  • Provide cross-coverage for team members during extended leave periods
