About The Position

Sentara Health is hiring for an Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant- Hospital and Home Health! This is a Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours) with standard working hours of 8am to 5pm EST, Monday through Friday. The role requires travel to all hospitals, hospice, home health, and outpatient pharmacies across the state of Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina. The Consultant is responsible for developing and implementing processes to support system-wide ongoing compliance with Accreditation/regulatory agencies and standards. They will provide consultation to all divisions regarding accreditation and regulatory affairs and compliance. Key responsibilities include serving as a system resource in accreditation & regulatory requirements & development of policies and procedures, advisement on the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, sharing knowledge of processes to meet compliance with identified accreditation/regulatory standards, researching and obtaining interpretation of standards compliance requirements, and assisting with the development of processes to support ongoing service readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field REQUIRED
  • A minimum of 3 years recent accreditation & regulatory experience REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards and clinical process improvement concepts is REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Internal candidates with 5 years recent experience in Accreditation & Regulatory Affairs may be substituted for education REQUIRED and must be enrolled in/pursing bachelors degree.
  • Clinical experience in a hospital or home health/hospice setting preferred

Responsibilities
