About The Position

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting's client is seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist for a A growing residential home‑services company in the Gainesville, VA area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and has hands-on experience in billing, collections, and AR operations within a manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience , ideally within a manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving skills; able to resolve issues even when information is incomplete
• Experience using ERP systems such as Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team
• Must be able to work on‑site in Gainesville/Haymarket area 5 days per week

Responsibilities

• Generate customer invoices by working with inventory and job data within the ERP system
• Verify job and billing details with internal locations and departments
• Perform cash applications and maintain accurate AR aging reports
• Conduct collections activities and follow up on outstanding receivables according to contract terms
• Assist with additional accounting or administrative tasks as assigned
