About The Position

American Retirement Homes, Inc. is a local, family-owned management company proudly serving our communities for over five decades. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our corporate accounting team.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping office
  • Timeliness & great customer service
  • Prior Experience working with QuickBooks
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent attention to detail (a must!)
  • Proficiency in Windows & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • General understanding of accounting principles

Nice To Haves

  • Prior AR experience & billing processes (in heath care setting a bonus)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle (billing, invoicing, collections, cash application)
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoices and statements
  • Monitor aging accounts and proactively follow up on overdue balances
  • Maintain excellent customer service with internal teams and external partners
  • Support the accounting department with accuracy and attention to detail
